Kabir Das was a 15th-century saint and poet who was a key figure in the Bhakti Movement. He is important because his verses broke caste barriers, criticised religious hypocrisy, and promoted love, truth, and devotion to a formless God.

Kabir's dohas teach values such as humility, truth, compassion, simplicity, and equality. He warns against pride, hatred, and religious hypocrisy, urging readers to live honestly and seek God through genuine devotion rather than empty rituals.

The main themes include devotion to God (Bhakti), rejection of caste discrimination, the importance of humility and self-reflection, the transience of worldly life, and universal brotherhood across all religions.

A doha is a self-contained two-line couplet that expresses a complete idea, moral, or philosophical thought. Each line has a specific metrical pattern. Kabir's dohas are famous for packing deep wisdom into just two lines.

First write the doha in original Hindi, then provide its word-by-word meaning (shabdarth), followed by a general explanation of the couplet's meaning, its message or moral, and any literary devices (like metaphor or simile) used.
